Episode 11: Recruiting in Education with Denise Bonder, VP of Talent Acquisition at Spring Education Group

Denise Bonder, VP of Talent Acquisition at Spring Education Group, joins host Ryan Dull of SageMark HR on this episode of the Talent Acquisition Leaders podcast. She talks about her career and the new and ever-changing challenges she sees in recruiting and hiring talent in today’s world.

Denise has had an interesting career path including stops at the Wonderful Company (Fiji Water), where she built a recruiting program from the ground up, Beach Body, and Aramark.

She dives into her position at Spring Education Group, where she is responsible for staffing the company’s brick and mortar K-12 locations as well as over 200 brick and mortar preschools along with their online school. She tells us about some of the unique challenges that face professional recruiters in the education space.

Denise continues by explaining how they are changing their processes to be more seamless, and less paper-driven and time consuming for potential candidates. As she points out, teachers are hard to find and recruiters have to work hard and work smart to attract top talent.

She closes this episode with her advice to rising talent acquisition professionals, which is to maintain your focus and block out the noise that comes with the job.
