What to expect for your interview:
TA Leaders is a podcast designed to make it easy to share your unique journey. Our experience is a simple discussion format where we review your background and initiatives or topics that are relevant to you and your experience. No significant prep needed, just a conversation about your unique personal journey as a talent leader.
We will connect for a recorded conversation on zoom and our discussion will be professionally edited before it is published as a podcast episode. Usually, these questions take 20-30 minutes so we should have plenty of time before and after in a 60-minute meeting.
Please think through how you plan to respond and let me know if you have any questions. Usually, 1-3 min responses per question work best. I would recommend avoiding specific details but providing enough context to be helpful to others. I also prefer that we do not mention any specific solutions or technology names during our episode.

How to prepare for your interview:
1) Use your computer - Please use your computer for recording, not your phone. This will ensure we have the best quality possible.
2) Google Chrome is preferred - If possible, please have Google Chrome open during the interview. This enables us to record an audio backup of the interview. If you don’t have Google Chrome, it is ok, but it is preferred if possible.
3) Remove distractions - Please be in a quiet place and turn off any cell phones or notifications.
4) Audio Quality - Please use the best microphone you have available. If you do not have a microphone then use at minimum a pair of earbuds or a headset. This ensures the best audio quality for the listener.
About Your Host
Hi, I’m Ryan.
I have spent my entire professional career in the Talent space.
Initially, for almost 20 years as a recruiter, talent leader, and executive in several large corporate organizations.
During these roles I was always passionate about how technology could help enable strategy, enhance experience and generate business value. However, I found it very confusing, time consuming and frustrating to navigate all the solutions and internal process to identify which ones best fit our specific needs. I set out to find a better way.
In 2013, I decided to step out on my own and leave my role as a TA Executive to start SageMark HR. Our mission is to help other TA Leaders navigate all the noise and make it easy to select and design the best TA technology solutions for their specific needs.
It has been an amazing journey and we have helped hundreds of great TA leaders innovate, improve and optimize their talent practices. Our proven process and expertise makes identifying and selecting the right tech easy for leaders AND more importantly helps them design the right delivery model to maximize their ROI and business value..
