Episode 58: Eliminating Waste in the Recruiting Workflow with Tara Torres at Kasa

On this episode, host Ryan Dull is joined by Tara Torres, Director of Talent Acquisition at Kasa, for an interesting conversation about process standardization.

When it comes to making recruiting workflows as efficient as possible, Tara has some words of advice:

- The primary objective of a defined workflow structure should be to eliminate wasteful cost, time and energy.

- Standardizing processes and procedures is the first step in creating a more efficient workflow.

- Sometimes, technology and digital tools can actually create waste, not eliminate it.

- Before beginning work on a project, take time to describe the problem that needs solving.

- Explore tools and solutions within your organization, including those being used outside of the recruiting function to make sure you have fully optimized and adopted the existing tech stack.

- Automation only improves efficiency if the tasks that require automation are carefully planned for and the tools for automation are properly chosen and implemented.

- Test proposed solutions to a problem before committing to their full implementation.

With a proper plan put into a standardized procedure, TA leaders can cut down on workflow waste and make the most out of their limited resources and time.
