Episode 46: Being Comfortable With Change with Greg Pardo at Fresenius Medical Care

On this episode, host Ryan Dull is joined by Greg Pardo, SVP of Global Talent Acquisition at Fresenius Medical Care, for a conversation about some of the initiatives Greg has taken to transform his organization’s approach to talent acquisition.

Greg sees himself as a lifelong learner of his industry, and that comes with a certain humility in his approach to his work. As he sees it, there are always ways he, and his fellow HR leaders, could improve. If he learns a better way of pursuing talent acquisition, he owes it to his team to implement it.

This philosophy has led Greg to adopt a few key principles in his role:

  • Always pursue a more compelling employment value proposition.

  • Learn to tell your brand story in a meaningful way.

  • Be flexible in adopting and implementing new recruiting technology.

  • Be willing to periodically review the selection process and candidate experience.

  • Evolve with changing workplace trends, like remote work and scheduling flexibility.

  • Remain humble and willing to learn something new.

These principles were honed over a long career in talent acquisition, and they’ve allowed Greg to remain adaptable and find continued success in a tumultuous field.

This episode is brought to you by SageMark HR.
